Robert of The Radish estava cansado de ver listas subjetivas dos “Melhores CDs de Todos os Tempos” e criou sua própria fórmula matemática para descobrir os “verdadeiros” 20 discos mais importantes. Em sua lista lista, somente o mercado americano foi considerado.
Os critérios são interessantes e bastante válidos, mas o que mais me chamou a atenção foi ver, PELA PRIMEIRA VEZ, meu guru Stevie Wonder no topo da lista. Fantástico! Não bastasse isso, o melhor álbum é “Songs in The Key of Life”.
Quem me conhece, sabe que esse é O DISCO #1 da minha lista pessoal. Uma obra prima. Álbum duplo, de 1976, revolucionário, maravilhoso, original, emocionante. Definitivamente, uma influência para muitos artistas e álbuns que vieram depois.
A fórmula de Robert baseia-se em 4 critérios:
MERCADO (valor presente, sebos, Internet) + PÚBLICO (vendas, baseado em volume) + CRÍTICOS (avaliações e notas) + INDÚSTRIA (prêmios Grammy)

A idéia era retirar qualquer opinião pessoal e subjetiva da fórmula. Não surpreendentemente, muitos dos discos são de fato os mais populares nas listas que estão por aí. A fórmula abriu espaço para alguns álbuns que costumavam ser esquecidos e que certamente tem um grande valor. Uma pena que Stevie Wonder precisou de uma fórmula matemática para aparecer… Ainda assim, fiquei muito contente de saber que não estou sozinho.
